The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- Stieg Larsson

With the UK in Lockdown, never before have I needed escapism quite so badly and this ticked every box. I’d be lying if I said I was hooked from the first page, however once I had my head wrapped around who each of the Vanger family were, it was plain sailing. The suspense was incredible and was a page turner in every sense.
Lisabeth is a researcher PI with a troubled past, who collaborates with Blomsvik, a journalist with his own issues to solve the mystery of a missing persons cold case. Whilst it had some dark elements that I personally dig, I appreciate that won’t be for everyone, so fair warning!
Can’t wait to start the sequel- The Girl who Played with Fire.
