What sort of posts should I create?

For the traditional book blogger, that predominantly writes reviews and articles, we’d recommend using the ‘Story’ type post. This option will allow for a cover image, long stretches of text, embedded images, and importantly, links that you can direct to your blogs and other channels.

For a booktuber we’d recommend the ‘Video’ post type (for obvious reasons). You can embed your video link, and there is also a text field included for adding additional text or to add links to your channel or social media accounts.

There are also options for creating link based articles, quizzes and polls, so have fun and see what you can come up with.

Should I put my entire back catalogue of content onto Best Book Blogs?

It’s your choice, but we wouldn’t recommend it. If you’re going to put all your content on Best Book Blogs there’s no incentive for readers to visit your blog or channel. It could also have the negative effect of fatiguing your readers with too much content to wade through at once.

The advice we give is to create high quality content that engages with the reader and gives them a taste of the quality your own blog or channel has to offer. Then you’re giving them a reason to come to you.

Why is there a limit to the number of times I can post a day?

We have limited the number of times a blogger can post to 10 times a day. (NOTE: This number may go up or down in the future).

This is linked to the previous question regarding why you shouldn’t put your entire back catalogue on Best Book Blogs. We’re aiming for quality over quantity.

Quality across a broad range of blogger content will attract a greater number of visitors and more visitors means a bigger audience for our bloggers.

Can I select multiple categories for my posts to appear in?

Yes. When creating the post, select your first category, then while holding the Ctrl key select the other categories you would like your post to appear under.

Can I post another Blogger’s content?

No. If you’re caught impersonating another blogger or plagiarising their work your account be deleted.

You are free to add links to your personal websites, blogs, channels or to social media accounts. However, we do not allow links to advertising, affiliates, products, or other third party sites, especially those that have no relevance to your content.
